Porto International Airport, officially known as Francisco sá Carneiro Airport, is the second busiest airport in Portugal, welcoming more than 15 million passengers a year. The airport’s main terminal handles flights to and from 110 destinations across 30 countries. However, if you require further assistance on your, you will need to contact your airline at least 48 hours in advance so that Porto Airport’s ‘MyWay’ service can be provided to you on arrival, including the provision of a wheelchair.

 

Once you arrive at the airport, look for the ‘MyWay’ contact points located on each level of the terminal for you to notify staff of your arrival.

There are several car parking spaces surrounding the airport terminal, all within walking distance, although there is a complimentary shuttle bus running 24/7 between the P4, P6 and P9 car parks to the terminal. Rates and features vary for each space, with a mix of cover and undercover parking, and some that have direct access to Arrivals and Departures.

Porto International Airport offers a modern, award-winning single terminal building that is recognised as one of the best airports in Europe. The Departures Area is divided into Schengen and non-Schengen seating areas, each offering similar amenities, including bars, cafes, restaurants, shops, and travel services, although there is a wider variety within the Schengen Area, before passing through passport control. The Arrivals Hall is located on the Ground Floor.

In addition to the 601 bus line, there are two other SCTP bus lines that run from the airport to different areas of the city, the 602 and the 604. The 602 goes via Padrão de Moreira, terminating at Cordoaria, whereas the 604 goes via Crestins, terminating at Saint João Hospital.

*Note there isn’t a Porto Airport train. The only public transport options are the metro and bus.
