Terminal Information

Abu Dhabi Airport used to have four terminals, Terminals 1, 2, 3 and the Midfield Terminal. However, from 2023 there are just two terminals at the airport. Terminal A is the main terminal and is used by all airlines. Terminal 3 is used exclusively for US flights. Just keep in mind that you must check in at Terminal A, even if you are departing from T3. You can then take a shuttle from Gate F straight to T3.

There are currently no available maps of the terminals at Abu Dhabi International Airport, so we are unable to map out the facilities via level. Nevertheless, TA has one main central area and four piers housing the A gates, B gates, C gates, and D gates. There is an arrivals level, departures level, and upper level. Likewise, Terminal 3 is home to a few gates (28-31), a duty-free store, and a small food court. It has a lower level and a mezzanine floor.

The airport terminals provide travellers with relaxation zones, currency exchange and cash services, accessible toilets and baby changing rooms, family services, prayer rooms, showers, medical services, and WiFi. Additionally, Terminal A houses 163 shops and food and beverage outlets, as well as VIP lounges, children’s play areas, health and beauty spas, and even an on-site hotel.

*The airport provides a free shuttle service between TA and T3. You can catch the shuttle from Gate F in TA.
