There are two transfer options available from Abu Dhabi Airport (AUH) to the city centre of Abu Dhabi. The first, quickest and most comfortable option for transport is by hiring an Abu Dhabi airport taxi. There are two types of taxis available at the airport; luxury or standard vehicles which differ in services and flag-fall fares. A standard taxi will cost around 19€ (80AED) to get you into the city centre and the journey should only take around 24 minutes. Public transport buses are available also at a much cheaper cost. How to get from Abu Dhabi Airport to city centre by taxi
Taxis in Abu Dhabi are available in standard or luxury options. If you are looking for a standard taxi they are indentifiable by their silver body and yellow sign on the roof. Luxury taxis are black Mercedes-Benz Vitos and will cost a little extra on flag fall, but the price per km is the same. You can find taxis at any time from outside the airport. How to get from Abu Dhabi Airport to city centre by bus
There are a few bus services that leave from around the terminals at the airport, but the best and most efficient service is the A1 Bus Line, the major airport bus service between airport and city. This bus operates 24/7 and takes you to the City Air Terminal (bus station) in the central city. It should take around 45 minutes, traffic dependent, to reach the station and from here you will either need to take a cab or walk to your final destination.

The bus services in Abu Dhabi are relatively cheap and therefore are a good alternative to a taxi for those on a budget. A single, one way ticket on the A1 line will cost around 1€ (4 AED).

The bus is available every 30-40 minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The A1 Airport line goes to Terminals 1, 2 & 3.

The buses leaving from the airport operate 24 hours, which makes them extremely convenient for those with early or late flight times as this is where taxis will charge extra. The buses are comfortable and economical, despite taking a little longer to reach the city, they are a great option for those on a budget.
The buses in Abu Dhabi are air-conditioned (which is a blessing in the summer months) as well as ample space for luggage. They are not usually that busy compared to the taxi stand, so they are a good option.
