Previously known as London Airport, London Heathrow Airport is located 23 km from London city centre and is the main international airport serving London, alongside Gatwick, City, Luton, Stansted and Southend. The airport’s four terminals host over 70 million passengers a year, making it the second-busiest airport in the world in 2022 and the busiest airport in Europe in 2023. Home to over 70 airlines, Heathrow Airport offers more international connections than any other airport worldwide and is a vital hub for known carriers such as British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.

Heathrow Airport Terminals
There are four operational terminals at London Heathrow, Terminals 2, 3, 4, and 5. Terminal 5 is the largest, and Terminals 2 and 3 are right next to each other (linked via a pedestrian walkway). Terminals 5 and 2 both have satellite terminals with extra boarding gates and some services, facilities, shops and food places to accommodate more passengers. The satellite terminals are connected to the main terminals via walkways so transferring is easy.
Nevertheless, all terminals have plenty of facilities such as charging stations, currency exchange and cash services, multi-faith prayer rooms, toilets and baby changing rooms, medical facilities and help points. Shops, bars and restaurants are also plentiful, with all levels easily accessible via lift or escalator. You can also take advantage of the airport’s many lounges, meeting rooms, and business facilities. Plus, there’s even a spa in Terminal 5!
*Heathrow Airport has three stations: Heathrow Terminals 2-3, Heathrow Terminal 4 and Heathrow Terminal 5. You can use the buses to transfer between terminals (airside), and you can use the Heathrow Express, Piccadilly Line, or Elizabeth Line to get between terminals (landside).
