Josep Tarradellas Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCN), also known as Barcelona-El Prat Airport, is the main international airport serving Barcelona, located 15 km from the city centre. It is the second-busiest airport in Spain, welcoming over 49 million passengers a year. Home to around 76 airlines, it is a vital hub for Vueling, Air Europa, Iberia, easyJet, Ryanair, Lufthansa and Air France.

Barcelona Airport provides a convenient fast lane service for departing passengers, offering expedited access through security checkpoints in both Terminals 1 and 2, to minimise waiting times.

 

Tickets for the fast lane service can be purchased on-site or booked online and access is valid for seven days from the date of purchase. Prices start from €10.40 for access to either terminal’s fast lane. Some airlines offer the service free of charge, but you’ll need to check with your airline for more information.

Barcelona Airport Parking

Terminal Information

Barcelona Airport has two main terminals. Terminal 1 is mostly used for international and Schengen flights, whereas Terminal 2 mostly serves domestic or non-Schengen flights. 

 

Both terminals provide travellers with information points, currency exchange and cash services, accessible toilets and baby changing rooms, medical services, and Special Assistance help points. You’ll also find a good amount of shops, cafes and restaurants dotted throughout the buildings. You’ll also find several lounges, children’s play areas, and workstations to keep any traveller busy while they wait.
