The first thing you need to do when departing from Cancun Airport is check in. There are a couple of ways to do this; you can head to the airline check-in desks, drop off your luggage and show your travel documents, or use the self-service kiosks for a faster process. When to arrive at Cancun Airport?

When it comes to arriving at Cancun Airport at the right time, the airport recommends arriving 2 hours before national departures and 3 hours before international flights. However, if you’ve checked in online and don’t have any luggage to drop off, you can arrive a bit later to avoid waiting around in the airport.

Cancun Airport has four terminals. Of the terminals available to the public, Terminal 2 is mainly used for domestic flights, while Terminals 3 and 4 are used for international flights. All the departures areas offer plenty of amenities, facilities and services to passengers including internet and WiFi stations, currency exchange and cash services, VIP lounges, Duty-free stores and shops, and food and drink outlets such as Starbucks and TGI Friday’s.
