Airport Shuttle Services from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

There are three public shuttle options to get you from Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport to the city centre of Paris. The first and most utilized is the Le Bus Direct, which will take you to three stops within the city in 60 minutes and cost 17€. The second option is the Roissybus service, which takes around the same time of 60 minutes, but is cheaper at only 11.50€. Finally, the 351/350 buses and the Noctilien/Night Line buses are public bus services which are cheaper at only 6€ per ride, but they are much longer journey times as they make many more stops along the way, so set aside around 80 minutes for these bus services.

RoissyBus departing from the airport

Roissybus to Paris-Opera

The Roissybus is one of the most direct methods of reaching the city centre of Paris. The shuttle runs frequently (between every 15 - 30 minutes) for long hours during the day so there is a likelihood of it suiting your needs. The bus goes between the airport and Paris Opera in the central city direct, but is subject to traffic conditions, so the approximate time of the journey may vary. Paris-Opera is a good place for those wishing to take further public transport options to their destination.

Le Bus to City Centre

Le Bus is a direct shuttle into the city centre, stopping at three major locations on the way - Porte Maillot, Etoile Champs-Elysées and Trocadero which are all major tourist hotspots and good places to take extra transportation from. The price is quite a bit higher than a regular bus, however the journey is likely more comfortable as the bus is more of a coach, with storage optional underneath.

N140 & 143 Noctilien/Night Line to Gare de L'est

Both the N140 and the N143 lines travel to the East Train Station and transport hub, where you can catch multiple onward international or intercity trains or metro services. Both have slightly different stops along the way, so it is best to consult the timetable if you are not travelling directly to Gare de L'Est. The buses are rather infrequent, departing every 30 - 60 minutes. The N143 can be a little quicker than the N140, taking only 60 minutes in good traffic. Both buses stop at Terminals 1, 2 and 3.

Trip Duration
1h 20 Min
Availability 00:32am - 04:32am
The N140 runs between 01:00am - 04:00am.

Bus 350 to Gare de L'Est

The 350 bus is a public transportation option that comes at a much cheaper price than the designated airport bus services, however, the journey times can be much longer due to the number of stops. The bus travels from the airport to the Gare de L'Est, or East Train Station, which provides multiple transport options via metro, train or taxi to reach your next destination.

Trip Duration
1h 20 Min
Availability 06:05am - 10:30pm
Tickets can be purchased from ticket desks or vending machines in the metro or RER stations.

Bus 351 to Place de la Nation

Bus 351 is another public bus service that travels to Place de la Nation, a square on the edge of the city centre. The Place de la Nation is nearby many metro stops and hotels, so is a good option if you are travelling to or staying in this side of the city. The journey is a little further than other bus lines and therefore can take a little longer to reach the final destination. The hours are also much shorter than the other lines which can also be an inconvenience.

Trip Duration
1h 30 Min
Availability 7:00am - 09:37pm
Tickets can be purchased from ticket desks or vending machines in the metro or RER stations.

Convenience and Availability

Although there are many shuttle options from the airport, the price for some is not as reasonable as taking a train or taxi as the journey time is much longer and subject to traffic conditions and multiple stoppages along the way. Therefore, if your journey is time sensitive it is best to avoid this method of transport.

Paris CDG Airport Shuttle ticket information

Tickets for most services are available from the ticketing information desks or automatic vending machines in the bus stop/metro terminals at the airport. If you wish to take Le Bus, you will need to go online and book your ticket in advance. If you take the Roissybus, you are able to purchase your tickets on the bus when boarding.

There are multiple-use re-loadable cards available for purchase if you are planning to use public transport a lot during your visit to Paris. This can save you a lot of money over time.

Where to catch your Paris CDG Airport Shuttle

Depending on which shuttle option you take you will need to travel to certain terminals at the airport. Public bus services are available from terminals 1, 2A + C, D, TGV Station and Terminal 3 Roissypole Bus Station. If you are taking Le Bus then you will need to catch it from Terminals 1 or 2. If you are taking the Roissybus, then you will be able to board at Terminals 1, 2ACD & EF and Terminal 3.

Signposting within the airport is usually very clear, but note that you might have to go between terminals for certain shuttle options.

Paris Airport Shuttle to Hotel

There are many options to get you from the airport to your hotel, however none of them of course are door to door. If you have lots of luggage, or on a tight schedule then the airport shuttles may not be worth saving the money for, as the journey can be long. As well as this you often will need to walk or take multiple transport options to reach your final destination.
