Airport Shuttle Services from Amsterdam Airport
There are two bus services that run from Amsterdam Airport into the central city, these are the Conexxions 397 Airport Express during the day and the Niteliner N97 bus overnight. The Airport Express is a convenient method of reaching the city centre at a reasonably low price of 6€, with three stops at major tourist spots along the way. The journey is also a reasonable 30 minutes with this method. The night train operates a similar route as the express, however has many more stops along the way so takes around 45 minutes and costs 4€.

397 Airport Express to Leidseplein
The Airport Express to Lediseplein makes two other stops on its journey from the airport; to Stadionplein and Museumplein, by which most major attractions and accommodation are located. The bus is one of the best options of transport for those on a budget and is an effective service. Note that the bus terminates at the Elandsgracht Bus Station and not the Central Station, which can be an inconvenience for those wishing to take onwards transportation. The airport express takes around 25-30 minutes to reach the central city, but is at the mercy of traffic.
Niteliner N97 Night Bus to Centraal Station
The N97 bus operates a similar route to the express during the night hours, however it is a general public bus and not an express, therefore it makes many more stops than the express bus and terminates at the Centraal Station. The journey is therefore a little longer, but the cost a little cheaper so it is still good for those arriving late who are still sticking to a budget.
Convenience and Availability
Despite being a cheap alternative, the bus can be overcrowded and luggage space limited. As well as this, the buses travel time is subject to traffic and multiple stops, making it not an overly efficient method of transport if your trip is time sensitive. If these things are not an issue however, the bus is a good option and provides stops at good locations for tourists.

Where to catch your Amsterdam Airport Shuttle
You can take bus 397 from platforms B9, B11 or B13 at Schiphol Plaza,

Amsterdam Airport Shuttle to Hotel
Although good value for money the buses will not take you to your hotel or final destination at Amsterdam. For time-sensitive travelers or those with lots of luggage, door to door service is preferable to avoid any hassle. If you require service to your hotel, it is best to book a taxi.
