Bukit Bintang is a hip district bordering the city centre of Kuala Lumpur; known for it’s many interesting streets like Jalan Bukit Bintang, a busy street with upscale malls and fashion boutiques, or Changkat Bukit Bintang street, known for it’s Al fresco bars and live music clubs, and Jalan Alor, a lively strip known for sidewalk restaurants serving Chinese clam soup and buttered prawns.
If you wish to visit the exciting Bukit Bintang area, you will need to take one of the 3 travel options available from the airport; you can either take a taxi, the metro or the bus. A Kuala Lumpur airport taxi ride is definitely the most convenient way to get to Bukit Bintang, taking only 50 minutes for the price of €15.40 (RM74), in normal traffic conditions. If you wish to take the bus or the metro from the airport, you will need to arrange onward transportation from the KL Sentral station, as both methods terminate at this station. The metro takes 28 minutes on the express train to reach KL Sentral station, for a one-way ticket costing €7.40 (RM35). Whereas a bus ticket costs €2.10 (RM10) and takes around 1 hour 30 minutes to reach the station.
