The stunning island of Barbados is the perfect place for a beach vacation, but the capital city, Bridgetown is also filled with history. Bridgetown is a picturesque port city, with colonial buildings and a historical synagogue, Nidhe Israel. Dotted around the city, you will also find tropical beaches, botanical gardens and impressive 17th-century plantation houses.
To get from Barbados Airport to Bridgetown, you have two options; taxi or bus. Taking an airport taxi or private transfer is the quickest transfer option, with a journey time of 25 minutes; a local cab will charge you €35 (BBD 74) to cover this route. The Line 27 bus, on the other hand, takes closer to 40 minutes to reach Bridgetown but costs just €2 (BBD 4) per traveller.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Barbados at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
