The Volabus line connects the airport to the railway stations of Genova Brignole and Genova Piazza Principe, passing through the city centre with the final stop being Piazza Verdi. The cheapest way to get from the airport to the city centre of Genoa is by train. However, there is no train station at the airport so you’ll need to catch the Airlink Bus to Genoa Sestri Ponente Train Station first, which only takes 5 minutes. From here, you can catch a train to wherever you need to go. The best stop to get to the centre is Piazza Principe and the journey takes approximately 40 minutes in total.

Price of the train from Genoa Airport to the city centre?

If you decide to use the bus and train combination to get from Genoa Airport to the city, you can buy tickets separately or together. The Airlink fare is €1.50 one way and a train ticket will cost you €2 to get to Piazza Principe. However, if you buy the tickets together, you’ll pay just €1.60 for the ticket combination.
