The bus may be a very affordable choice but it is definitely not a comfortable one. The KTEL local bus schedule from the airport is highly infrequent. In fact, there are only 8 transit bus routes per day to Samos, via Pythagoreion or Mitilinioi, while on Saturdays, the number of buses is reduced to only 3 and on Sundays, they don’t operate at all.
Although the travel time may be almost the same as a private transfer, as your drop-off point is the Central Bus Station in Samos, so you will have to reach your hotel on foot or by another mode of transportation.
