Brno is the second largest city in the Czech Republic, located close to the borders of Austria and Slovakia. For the best vantage point of views overlooking the city, head to the top of the steeple at the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul which also houses some notable religious artworks. Discover the town’s medieval history with a tour of Brno’s underground passageways and cellars, or by visiting the eerie Brno Ossuary. When you’ve finished your day of exploring, head to one of the many local breweries or up-and-coming restaurants, and as the coffee capital of the country, don’t forget to sample a freshly roasted cup or two!
The main ways to travel from Brno Airport to the city centre are by taxi, private transfer, or public bus. Taxis and private transfers take between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions, and provide a door-to-door service. The public bus is the most affordable transport option and will take 20 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic, not including wait times.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Brno at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
