Tipping is not required, but a roundup of the fare is always welcome.

Outside the arrivals hall at Siem Reap airport, besides the taxi rank, there is also a line of remorks waiting to take passengers into town. You hire a remork just like a you would get a taxi: you go to the front of the line, agree on the price with the driver, and hop on.

Remorks are available 24/7 at the airport.

Where do I get a remork from?

Remorks are lined up outside the arrivals hall exit, just like taxis. All you have to do is take your luggage and go to the front of the line to hire one.

Convenience

Truth be told, remorks are not the most comfortable vehicle to travel on. There is limited legroom, and fitting the luggage on the carriage for large groups of travellers might be a problem.

Editor’s Note

Remorks are a great way to get to know the city early on if your group is small and you travel light, i.e. with backpacks or other small luggage items.

Useful Tips

Tipping is not mandatory, yet it is a nice gesture for hard-working locals who try to earn a living to support their families.
Be extra cautious with your belongings when riding a remork and make sure nothing hangs out from the carriage.
Besides the remorks lining up at the arrivals hall, there is another rank outside the airport exit. If you choose to hire one of those, be extra careful with the agreed fares.
