Bergen is both an exciting city to explore and a perfect gateway to the world-renowned fjords of Western Norway. It only takes a short walk to amaze oneself in the picturesque alleys of the Bryggen area, visit the peaceful harbour and get atop the seven hills surrounding the city to admire the views.
Once you land at Bergen International Airport (BGO), you can reach the city centre in three ways; taxi, bus and light rail. The light rail is the most cost-savvy transportation option and will take you to the centre in about 45 minutes. The bus is an equally cheap alternative to get from Bergen Airport to the city, needing 30 minutes to reach the centre. Lastly, a Bergen airport taxi is the most convenient way, as it will take you directly to the doorstep of your accommodation in 20-25 minutes.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Bergen at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
