Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah airport, also known as Subang airport, is a small airport located 24 Km away from the city centre. There are 2 transport options when travelling to the city; you can either take a taxi or a bus. If you choose to take a Subang airport taxi into Kuala Lumpur city centre, it will take around 30 minutes, in normal traffic conditions. Your other travel option is to take the SkyPark bus, however, the bus terminal is at KL Sentral, which means that you will have to take an additional transport option to reach your final destination in the city. The SkyPark bus takes around 1 hour to reach KL Sentral, where you will need an extra 15 minutes to travel from the station to the city. Please note that a metro MRT/LRT rail line is currently in construction, which will connect Subang airport to the city centre.

Taking a Subang airport taxi is the most convenient transport option when travelling into the centre of Kuala Lumpur city. A wide range of comfortable taxis are available 24/7 outside the arrivals terminal.

How to get from Subang airport to the city centre by bus

The Skypark link airport bus is available from the Subang Skypark terminal at the airport and terminates at KL Sentral station, which is located just outside Kuala Lumpur’s city centre. However, just like the other public transport options found at the airport, you will need to take an additional travel option to get from KL Sentral station to your final destination. Moreover, the bus stops multiple times along the way, taking over 1 hour to reach the city in normal traffic conditions.

Once you arrive at KL Sentral station, you can reach the city centre by metro; you will need to take the LRT Kelana Jaya Line (n° 5) from KL Sentral to KLCC, taking around 15 minutes.

How much is a bus ticket from Subang airport to the city centre?

A one- way bus ticket o the Skypark Link costs €2.10 (RM10). You can purchase your bus tickets from the Transport Facilities counter at the arrivals terminal, or you can get your tickets in cash directly on board the bus.
To finish your journey, you can buy your metro tickets using a coupon from the vending machines at the station for the cost of €0.50 (RM2.50).

Moreover, you will have to take the metro from the bus terminal into the city centre, which means purchasing another ticket and prolonging your travel time.
