Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah airport, also known as Subang airport, is a small airport located 24 Km away from the city centre. There are 2 transport options when travelling to the city; you can either take a taxi or a bus. If you choose to take a Subang airport taxi into Kuala Lumpur city centre, it will take around 30 minutes, in normal traffic conditions. Your other travel option is to take the SkyPark bus, however, the bus terminal is at KL Sentral, which means that you will have to take an additional transport option to reach your final destination in the city. The SkyPark bus takes around 1 hour to reach KL Sentral, where you will need an extra 15 minutes to travel from the station to the city. Please note that a metro MRT/LRT rail line is currently in construction, which will connect Subang airport to the city centre.

Taking a Subang airport taxi is the most convenient transport option when travelling into the centre of Kuala Lumpur city. A wide range of comfortable taxis are available 24/7 outside the arrivals terminal.
Taxi fare from Subang airport to the city centre
When taking a taxi from Subang airport, you can either chose to travel on a metered fare or on a fixed coupon price. Bare in mind that the coupon price is normally slightly higher than a metered price. However, a meter is subject to conditions and can vary quite a lot. The overall coupon fare should cost around €5.30 (RM25) and a metered price should be around €4.20 (RM20).
It is important to know that you will be charged a 50% higher rate when travelling between 00:00 – 06:00.
