Known as the ‘Gate to the East’, Lublin is located in the east of Poland near the Vistula River. Wander through the picturesque Old Town and venture into Lublin Castle and the Trinitarian Tower. Discover historical sites such as the gothic Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and the Grodzka Gate which once served as the entrance to the city. A visit to Majdanek Concentration Camp, a memorial where you can learn about Lublin’s past, will make your visit to Lublin that much more impactful and meaningful.
There are three main ways to travel from Lublin Airport to Lublin city centre: taxi or private transfer, bus, and train. A taxi or private transfer is by far the most convenient option, taking just 25 minutes in light traffic and providing a door-to-door service. The bus is the most affordable option, although it is also the longest. The train is a quick option, taking the same time as a taxi or private transfer – or less if you are disembarking at the main train station – and is very affordable, however, there is sometimes only one service a day. From the train station, you can take a bus farther into the city.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Lublin at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
