Taxis are easy to find at the designated taxi stands outside of each of the Arrival Halls. The main exit for Terminal 1 is by Gate 6, whereas the exit for Terminal 2 is by Gate 4. The taxi rank is well signposted, however, you can consult a member of staff if you have trouble finding the taxis.

Note: There isn’t a Milan Airport to city center tram at this time. The train is the best alternative.

Where do I get a train from?

Malpensa Train Station is located in Terminal 1 on Floor -1 (basement level). If you land in Terminal 1, follow the signs that say “Treni” as soon as you collect your bags from the carousel. At Terminal 2 the train station is connected to the terminal via a footbridge. Trains for Milan Central Station depart from Platform 1.

The train journey from Milan Airport to the city center of Milan is quick and cheap. However, the express services can get pretty busy during peak season and luggage space is limited. So if you’re traveling with kids or lots of luggage, it may not be very practical. The Terravision bus from Milan Airport to Milan Central Station is somewhat convenient because the journey is relatively fast and direct. However, it’s only available every hour so there is a longer wait if you miss your bus. There are also no buses available between 05:10 to 01:10 the next morning. If you’re due to arrive around 01:00 to 04:00, you’re better off choosing the Malpensa Shuttle or Airport Bus Express services we talked about earlier.
