Getting from Zakynthos Airport to the Town of Zakynthos

Due to the small size and seasonal touristic industry of Zakynthos island, there are only three options to travel between the Zakynthos Airport and the city centre; taxi, private transfer and by bus.

Zante Airport taxis are the quickest and most convenient option from the airport to Zakynthos town. The trip duration with a taxi is around 10 minutes and you’ll pay a fixed fare of €15. Local taxis can be a little tricky to flag down in peak season, so booking a private transfer in advance will ensure that you get to where you want to go without waiting too long. Finally, you can use the KTEL bus system that exists on most Greek islands. Tickets to Zakynthos Town cost €2.20 and the journey takes 20 minutes, however, buses are not very frequent and you could end up waiting a while.

Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Zakynthos at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
