As the capital of Lithuania, Vilnius is an exciting city with much to offer in terms of culture, history, architecture, art, and gastronomy. From the UNESCO-listed Old Town and the Gediminas Castle to the city’s many museums, art galleries, and food markets, there is much to explore!
There are three ways to get from Vilnius Airport to the city centre; taxi or private transfer, bus, and train. A Vilnius taxi or private transfer is the most comfortable option as it takes 14 minutes for the cost of about €23 and will drop you off right outside your hotel. There are four bus services that go from Vilnius Airport to city districts, including 88 (and the night bus 88N), 1, 2, and the airport express bus 3G. They run every 10-30 minutes and take about 20 minutes to reach the city centre, with a single ticket costing €1. The third option is the train to Vilnius Central Station which takes about 8 minutes. It runs every 40-60 minutes and the ticket costs €0.70.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Vilnius at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
