Convenience

Taxis are the most comfortable means of transport to the city, especially when the weather is warm with air-conditioning and shorter waiting times than public transport. They provide a door-to-door service and is the best option when you have a lot of luggage to take with you.

Editor’s Note

If you are travelling in large groups, in a big flight or have a lot of luggage, it is advisable to pre-book a transfer from the airport. Although the taxis are organised, special situations cannot always be catered to and queuing in the heat can be bothersome.

Useful Tips

Taxis can charge for especially large or excess luggage (0.65€ per bag).
If you are on a late flight between 12:00am - 6:00am and take a taxi, an extra 2€ may be charged.
Always ensure that the meter is running when you take a taxi, to avoid being overcharged for your transit.
The taxi stand contains an approximate price list by the rank for popular transits.
