The taxi industry at Faro is very reliable, and have very few accounts of tourism scams, especially compared to other European cities. There are currently only two public transportation options to the centre of Faro; the bus line 16 and 14. The most reliable option is line 16 as it offers regular bus trips from 05:20 until 00:10. However, the bus line 14 does round-trip journeys to-and-from the beach but is only available four times a day. Both buses take around 20 minutes from Faro airport to the city centre and a one-way ticket costs €2.25.
