Detailed directions for your Bali Airport Taxi Transfer

Bali Airport, also known as Ngurah Rai International Airport, is the second busiest international airport in Indonesia. Thanks to a new terminal being opened in 2013 and a refurb in 2014, the airport is now extremely modern and well-equipped. Bali Airport is the nearest airport to Ubud and is located 40 km from the city centre, taking approximately 40-50 minutes by car.

After meeting your driver and exiting Denpasar Airport arrivals, you will begin your private Bali Airport transfer by heading northwest onto Jl. Akses Bandara Ngurah Rai. From there, your driver will take a left onto Bali Mandara Toll Road/Jl. Nusa Dua – Bandara Ngurah Rai – Benoa Toll Road, followed by a right onto Jl. By Pass Ngurah Rai. They will then take another right onto Jl. WR Supratman and finally continue to Jl. Raya Singapadu. From here, your driver will take the local roads to reach your hotel in Ubud.

*It’s worth noting that many visitors prefer to stay in centrally-located hotels to access all Ubud has to offer, some crowd favourites include Bisma Eight and Adiwana Resort Jembawan.

Why choose a Bali Airport transfer

One of the most hassle-free and convenient Bali Airport transfer options is taking a taxi or private transfer. Whether you’re travelling into Ubud or Seminyak, taking a taxi from Bali Airport is the only direct mode of transport, saving you time and energy. You can sit back and enjoy the stunning countryside of Bali, knowing that your group and your personal belongings are safe, while Welcome Pickups takes care of the rest.

How much is a Bali Airport taxi?

Taxis from Bali Airport have a set rate fee of €19.50 (300,000 IDR) for the 50-minute journey into Ubud. However, there are times when the official taxi kiosk staff may change the price, namely during high season and at night, so you may end up paying more unless you book your Bali Airport transfer in advance.

When travelling from Bali Airport to Seminyak, there’s no set fee, you will need to barter the price with your taxi driver. Having said that, the most common price is around €9.10 (IDR 150,000).

For a competitive fixed fare with no hidden fees from a trusted provider, we recommend booking a private Bali Airport transfer in advance with Welcome Pickups.
