Trier is situated in the Rhineland-Palatinate region of Germany, on the banks of the Moselle, and it is the country’s oldest city, dating from Roman times. Not only is Trier a true trove of monuments and Roman ruins, but it is also a young and thriving place. Trier’s extensive classical heritage, medieval buildings and Gothic elements enchant travellers who travel miles to explore its cultural treasures and trendy clubs.
There are two ways to travel from Luxembourg Airport to Trier; taxi or bus. Taking a Luxembourg airport taxi is by far the fastest way of transportation, taking just 30 minutes to cover the journey, so it is very convenient. Opting for the 302 bus is a good solution if you are on a tight budget or have time to spare, but please bear in mind that you will need more than 45 minutes to reach the city, not including waiting times.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Luxembourg at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
