Hidden in the Cascade Mountains is a Bavarian gem; Leavenworth. This unique village looks like it has popped directly out of a magical children’s story, with its colourful wooden facade houses, cost taverns and snowy mountain backdrop. The village is known for its German beer, hearty food and fun Nutcracker Museum, which dates back centuries and has become a proud tradition.
To get from Seattle Airport to Leavenworth WA, you can take a local taxi, rent a car or pre-book an airport taxi. The journey time will be around 2 hours and 20 minutes by car and you can expect to pay an average of $320 (€300) for a local taxi.
It is also possible to take a train from Seattle Airport to Leavenworth, however, it isn’t direct. You will first need to take the Light Rail to King Street Station in Seattle, then take the Amtrak train from there to Leavenworth. The issue is that the train only leaves once a day at 16:55, so it’s almost impossible to land in time to take the train from Seattle Airport to Leavenworth.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Seattle at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
