Patong is located on the west coast of Phuket Island, facing the Andaman Sea in the southwest of Thailand. It is known as a beach resort town with it’s crescent beach lined with cafes, restaurants and bars. When travelling to Phuket International Airport there are 2 transportation options to get to the town of Patong. The most popular option is getting a Phuket airport taxi as taxis are the most convenient and reliable transport option. A taxi ride takes approximately 50 minutes to get to the centre of Patong and costs around €26 (995 THB). The second transportation option is to take a bus, which leaves the Phuket airport every hour.
