Patong is located on the west coast of Phuket Island, facing the Andaman Sea in the southwest of Thailand. It is known as a beach resort town with it’s crescent beach lined with cafes, restaurants and bars. It’s famous nightlife scene features many bars, cabarets and nightclubs, carrying on into Bangla Road.
When travelling to Phuket International Airport there are 2 transportation options to get to the town of Patong. The most popular option is getting a Phuket airport taxi as taxis are the most convenient and reliable transport option. A taxi ride takes approximately 50 minutes to get to the centre of Patong and costs around €26 (995 THB). The second transportation option is to take a bus, which leaves the Phuket airport every hour. Although being the cheapest option, it is also the longest, taking over 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach Patong for the price of €3.95 (150 THB).
