Convenience

Taking a taxi from Phuket Airport to Rassada Pier is the only direct option available, making it the most convenient choice. Furthermore, most taxi vehicles are small city cars and it can be challenging to comfortably fit 3 passengers in the vehicle at the same time. Editor’s Note

It is advised to book a taxi in advance, before starting your trip. Finding the right taxi at the last moment can be quite tedious, due to the high demand - especially during the summer season.

Useful Tips

Make sure your driver resets their taximeter to the base fare and that the taximeter is turned on before you begin your journey.
Always try to negotiate the fare for a prepaid taxi.
Avoid unlicensed drivers that might approach you at the airport as they charge higher amounts than normal for trips.
Feel free to ask your driver for any tips about places and popular destinations around the island as they are locals.
