The airport train stations are located at both the International and Domestic terminals at Sydney airport. Once you arrive at Sydney’s Central Station, the train for Parramatta leaves from Platform 18.

The airport train is a great option for those travelling on a budget; however, if you are travelling in a bigger group it would be more cost effective to take a taxi to Parramatta. Moreover, having to change trains at the Central Station in Sydney is highly inconvenient, especially if you are travelling with heavy luggage.

A few bus services go to Paramatta and leave from the Central Station: N60, N70 and N71. However, they stop multiple times during their route taking an additional 15 minutes compared to the train.
