Where do I get the bus from?

The bus leaves from Central Station at the Greyhound bus stop (coach bays 5 and 6) and terminates in Newcastle at the Museum.

The bus stop is 800m from the Airport Rail Link at Central Station. Once you exit the bus station, Walk northwest on Devonshire Street towards Lee Street, then turn right onto Railway Colonnade. The bus stop is on your left.

If you opt for a taxi from Sydney Airport, ask the driver to go to The Sydney Coach Terminal, Haymarket NSW 2000.

Convenience

There are no direct trains from Sydney Airport to Newcastle. Trains from Sydney to Newcastle depart from Sydney Central Station, which is 10 minutes on the Airport City Train or a 13-minute taxi ride away from Sydney Airport.

The cab rank is easy to find upon exiting Arrivals, and you can simply ask the taxi driver to drop you off at Sydney Central Train Station because there is also a bus station on the same site. If you are travelling on the City Airport train, follow the signs to Way Out and pass through the ticket gates. Exit onto Randle Street and take the stairs, then, pass through the pedestrian tunnel to reach Central Train Station.
