Where do I find the bus at Narita Airport?

​​There’s a bus stop located outside all three terminals at Narita Airport. At Terminal 1, the stop is located outside of 4F of the south wing, while in Terminal 2, it’s door 3F of the departure lobby. Lastly, in Terminal 3, the bus stop is outside door 1F.

Where do I find the train at Narita Airport?

There are train stations in Terminals 1 and 2. If you land at Terminal 3, you will need to either walk or take the shuttle to one of the other terminals to catch the train.

You will need to wait up to 30 minutes for the train, carry your luggage through each train station, and then once you reach Shunjukiu, you will need to find alternate transport to your hotel.

How to get from Narita Airport to Shinjuku by train

Another affordable train option is the Keisei Skyliner. Although less convenient than the Narita Express, the Skyliner train is cheaper and faster, although you will need to make a transfer to complete your journey.

From Narita Airport, board the Skyliner train for 36 minutes until you reach Nippori Station. Next, take the Japan Railways (JR) Yamanote Line in a clockwise direction to Shinjuku Station. This second leg takes around 22 minutes, bringing the total journey time without wait times to just under 1 hour.

How much does the Skyliner train cost?

You will need to purchase two tickets for your journey by train from Narita Airport through to Shinjuku. From the airport to Nippori Station, a one-way ticket on the Skyliner train costs €16 (JPY 2,580). The next leg of your journey, from Nippori to Shinjuku Station, costs €1.30 (JPY 210), bringing the total cost to €17.30 (JPY 2,790).

Tickets for the Skyliner train can be purchased online or at the airport’s ticket machines and counters. You can buy a ticket for the JR line once at the station.

The Keisei Skyliner platform is on the B1 Level of Terminals 1 and 2. If you arrive at Terminal 3, you can walk to Terminal 2 via the undercover walkway.
