Getting from Haneda Airport to Shibuya

Shibuya, one of Tokyo’s most iconic areas, is located 22 kilometers from Haneda Airport (HND), the largest and busiest of the city’s two airports. When it comes to traveling from Haneda Airport to Shibuya, you have four different options: taxi, bus, train, or private transfer.

Taking a Haneda Airport taxi to Shibuya will take just 25 minutes, and you’ll be provided door-to-door service. A private Tokyo Haneda Airport transfer offers a similar but more personalized service, allowing you to tailor your trip to your needs.

The cheapest – and sometimes fastest – transport option is a combined train journey. You’ll need to make at least one transfer to reach your final destination, with the trip taking around 35 minutes without wait or transfer times.

Lastly, you have the choice of a Limousine Bus service which takes around 1 hour to reach Shibuya, with no stops along the way. While not as affordable as the train, the bus is direct and runs regularly throughout the day.

Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Tokyo at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.

For a more streamlined journey where you won’t have to navigate Tokyo’s busy train network, consider pre-booking a private transfer with Welcome Pickups instead.

Luggage storage is very scarce on the train so be sure to travel light, especially during peak hours when local people will be commuting to and from work.
