The taxi stand is located on the arrivals level, just outside of exits 2 and 3. Look for the line of yellow and black taxis, but please be aware that the black taxis are for ‘private hire’ and may cost up to twice as much as the regular yellow ones.

There is no direct bus line to Lavrio from Athens Airport. However, KTEL Attikis buses depart from the airport to Markopoulo until 22:00 and you can change at “Markopoulo stop” to another KTEL bus that will reach Lavrio cruise terminal. The bus takes just 10 minutes to reach Markopoulo.

KTEL Attikis operates a bus from outside Athens Nomismatokopio Metro Station (Markopoulo) to Lavrio every 1 hour and 30 minutes. Tickets cost €5 and the journey takes 1 hour 45 minutes.

*Bear in mind that when you get to Lavrio you’ll need to take a short taxi or walk to the port.

How much is the bus from Athens Airport to Lavrio cruise terminal?

Once you exit the arrivals gate, you can see the bus station right in front of the Sofitel Airport Hotel.

Taking a bus from Athens Airport to Lavrio Port is definitely the least convenient option. There is no direct line, so you will need to make a change in Markopoulo. This will make the journey much longer and more stressful.
