There is no direct train from Barcelona airport to Tarragona, you will have to make a change in the city centre. Take the R2 Nord train from Terminal 2 and get off at the Estacio Sants stop. From there you can take any number of trains to Tarragona, including; Catalunya Express, the Regional Express, the Mare Nostrum, Alaris, Talgo and Euromed.
The total journey time is around 1 and a half hours, and the cost is 2.50€

The R2 Nord train is located in the train station at Terminal 2. If you land in Terminal 1, you will need to take the free airport shuttle bus to Terminal 2 and follow the signposts.
