Traveling from Macau International Airport (MFM) to Hong Kong is slightly complicated, so be prepared to make a couple of connections and have your passport and necessary visas ready to present at the border.
The quickest and most convenient way to cover the distance from Macau Airport to Hong Kong is to take a private transfer, as this is the most direct option. Since Macau Airport taxis aren’t allowed to operate in Hong Kong, taking a local taxi isn’t as straightforward, although it will still save you some time when compared to the bus.
The ferry route (combined with the metro) is a great cost-saving option, but since it also requires the most walking, it’s only recommended if you don’t have much luggage. Otherwise, a popular transportation choice is to use a cross-border bus service. With several pick-up and drop-off locations, this option can usually get you pretty close to your hotel on the Hong Kong side, but it’s also the slowest and requires the most transfers.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Macau at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
