Surfing Mecca may not be the phrase that springs to mind when thinking of Morocco, but the small village of Taghazout along the country’s southwest coast would prove you otherwise. For surfers, Killer Point is the best break along the coast, and for everyone else, the town offers a relaxing vibe with unbeatable sunset views over the ocean. In nearby Paradise Valley, you’ll find a mini oasis with waterfalls and natural pools which makes for the perfect day out.
There are three main ways to get from Agadir Airport to Taghazout: by taxi, private transfer, or a combination of public buses. The quickest option is to take a taxi or private transfer which takes 60 minutes in light traffic and costs €27.80 (MAD 300) for up to 6 people. The public bus option requires one bus change in Agadir city centre and takes 125 minutes, excluding wait times, and costs €5.30 (MAD 57.50) per traveller.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Agadir at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
