Dunedin is known as the wildlife capital of New Zealand, thanks to its stunning scenery, impressive biodiversity and well-preserved heritage. Surrounded by rolling hills, Dunedin is the perfect place for biking, hiking and enjoying nature trails. Stepping into the city centre itself is like walking back in time, as Dunedin is one of the most immaculately preserved Victorian-Edwardian cities in the Southern Hemisphere.
To get from Dunedin Airport to the city centre or your hotel, you have two options; taxi or bus. Taking a local airport taxi will cost around €50 (NZD 90) and will take 25 minutes to reach the door of your hotel. On the other hand, the InterCity buses will take closer to 35 minutes to reach the city centre and will cost approximately €15 (NZD 26) per person.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Dunedin at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
