Backed by towering mountains and deep fjords, the picturesque city of Bergen looks as if it jumped straight out of a storybook, harkening us to come and marvel at its beauty. The old wharf is lined with colourful wooden houses and local eateries, perfect for a morning of exploring. You can then take the Fløibanen Funicular up to the very top of Fløyen Mountain to enjoy breathtaking views and hiking trails, and to visit the deepest and longest fjord in the country, Sognefjord.
There are two different transfer options from Haugesund Airport to Bergen: taxi or bus. Taking a taxi from Haugesund Airport is the quickest and only direct transfer option, with a journey time of 3 hours and 20 minutes and a cost of around €400 (NOK 4,500). The buses will take closer to 4 hours and 45 minutes to reach Bergen, as you will need to first get to Haugesund city centre, and will cost €38 (NOK 432) per person.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Haugesund at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
