How to get from Vienna Airport to Brno

There are a handful of companies where you can book the train from Vienna Airport to Brno, including Regiojet and Raijet. No direct routes are available between the two destinations; you must change trains at Vienna Central Station before continuing to Brno. Around 20 trains travel between Vienna and Brno daily, giving you plenty of flexibility.

When you arrive at Vienna Airport, you’ll need to get on the ÖBB Railjet train, which comes every 30 minutes. When you board, you’ll get off at the next stop, which will be Central Station. From there, you’ll have to board a non-stop ÖBB Railjet train to Brno; it will transport you directly to the city. The total journey should last approximately 2 hours and 5 minutes.

The train ticket from Vienna Airport to Brno costs, on average, €13.40 per person; this price includes both legs of the journey. Booking your tickets online in advance is the best option, in case you miss out on the fare because it’s sold out. 

Alternatively, you can buy your tickets from one of the vending machines in the Arrivals Hall, on the platforms, or by the passages to the platforms.

Going between Vienna Airport and Brno by train is less convenient than other transport options because the route isn’t direct. You’ll have to get off the first train and wait for your connection, adding unnecessary time to your trip. The wait time is usually 22 minutes, but this can vary depending on the time you’re travelling.
