The Montpellier train station, known as Gare Saint-Roch, is the city’s main transport hub that connects visitors to all of France’s major cities, including Paris and Lyon, and many European cities, like Barcelona.
Three transport options are available from Montpellier Airport to the train station when you land: a local bus or taxi, or a private transfer. The fastest and most convenient way to get there is by taking a Montpellier Airport taxi, which takes an average of 18 minutes. Or, you could opt for a private Montpellier Airport transfer and enjoy an airport meet-and-greet and fixed fare prices.
Otherwise, if you’re not under strict time constraints, taking the bus from Montpellier Airport to the train station is a very economical option, which offers frequent departures throughout the day. However, while the bus gets you as far as the city center, you’ll need to either walk the rest of the way or take a tram, which isn’t ideal if you have luggage.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Montpellier at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
