Located in the very centre of Nigeria, Abuja is the country’s capital city. Home to many local eateries, art galleries and bars, Abuja has everything you would expect from a bustling city. On its border, you will also find Abuja Lake and the mighty Aso Rock. This Monolith is the impressive backdrop to the home of the president of Nigeria, the Nigerian National Assembly and the Nigerian Supreme Court.
There are two different ways to get from Abuja Airport to the city, taking a taxi or the Light Rail metro. The local taxis will charge around €7 (NGN 6,000) and will take 45 minutes to reach your hotel in the city centre. The Light Rail, on the other hand, will take 40 minutes to reach the Metro Station in the city centre and will cost €1.20 (NGN 1,000) per person.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Abuja at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
