Sitting between Tanzania and Kenya, 380 km north of Arusha Airport, the immense Serengeti plains, or ‘endless plains’ in the Maa language, cover an area of 60,000 km². This region is considered one of the cradles of humanity and is home to the Serengeti National Park, listed as a World Heritage Site. A migration hotspot where millions of buffalo, zebra, gazelle and eland cross paths, the park is one of the most beautiful safari destinations in the world.
By road, a taxi or private transfer is the only way to travel from Arusha Airport to Serengeti. Taking at least 8 hours, this journey is long but well worth the once-in-a-lifetime experience!
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Arusha at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
