Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI), more simply known as Barbados Airport, is the only port serving the tropical island by air. The airport is located around 17.5 km from Bridgetown, so taking a taxi from Barbados Airport shouldn’t take longer than 25 minutes.
To begin your airport transfer in Barbados, your driver will head west on Airport Access Rd toward the S Ramp. From here, you will turn right towards Tom Adams Hwy and take the 1st exit at the upcoming roundabout to get on the Tom Adams Hwy. You will then reach another roundabout, where you will take the 1st exit to stay on Tom Adams Hwy. When you see the Newton Industrial Park, you will take a right and continue onto Hwy V. After 1.2 km, you will take a sharp right onto Hwy R. You will then continue on to Edgerton Rd, before taking a left onto Hwy 5. You will reach a roundabout, where your driver will take the 2nd exit onto Government Hill. You will follow Government Hill for another 2.3 km, before continuing on to Tweedside Rd. From here, you will reach another roundabout, where your driver will take the 2nd exit onto Roebuck St. Finally, you will take a right onto Country Rd, which will lead you into the heart of Bridgetown.
