Alleppey, or the “rice bowl of Kerala”, is located 55 km away from Cochin city centre and 74 km away from Cochin International Airport. It is known for its iconic scenery, with the Arabian Sea on one side and rivers and canals on the other, and is the ancient headquarters of trade and commerce. Filled with paddy fields and fish farming palm and coconut trees, local village homes and beautiful lagoons, Alleppey is like no other town.
If you are travelling from Cochin airport to Alleppey, you have two transportation options; you can take a taxi or a combined bus and train trip. The easiest and fastest option to reach the beautiful town is to take a Cochin airport taxi or private transfer, as the journey is direct and takes approximately 2 hours.
