Where do I get a taxi from?

The airport taxi rank is located outside the arrivals terminal but only vehicles from the official taxi company (Neptun) that serves the airport are allowed to wait there.

The parking section next to the taxi rank known as ‘Kiss and Fly’ is where all the other taxi companies and pre-booked transfers will pick up and drop off their passengers; unless you are informed otherwise by your provider.

Convenience

Nothing beats jumping into a taxi after a long flight and being dropped off directly at your accommodation, undoubtedly making it the most convenient way to travel. Taxis are also the only option that is available 24/7, so no matter your arrival time, a taxi will be waiting for you. Finally, if you are travelling with young children or have a lot of luggage, a taxi will once again be the most convenient and stress-free way to get to your hotel or apartment.

Editor’s Note

Try and book your transfers in advance or over the phone as many taxi companies in Gdansk offer better rates when you request a taxi in this way.

Useful Tips

Rogue and unlicensed taxi drivers operate in Gdansk, so always make sure you are using a registered taxi company for your transfers. Official taxis have their company name and telephone number on the doors and the vehicle’s roof.
It is worth asking your driver for a fixed-rate fare as they often quote a better price than a metered transfer.
Taxi rates increase once you leave the city limits. If you plan on taking a long taxi ride, it would be best to negotiate a fixed-rate fare, so you will know exactly what you will be paying for.
