How to get from Innsbruck Airport to St Anton

Unfortunately, there isn’t a direct train from Innsbruck Airport to St Anton am Arlberg. But don’t worry – the route is quite simple once you get to Innsbruck train station. To do that, you can catch Bus F from outside of the terminal building at the airport. 

Once at the station, there are plenty of trains going to St Anton. They run every two hours from 07:47 to 19:47. Look out for lines: RJX 168, RJX 166, RJX 566, EC 164, RJX 162, RJX 160, RJX 660, RJX 368, and RJX 366.

The combined cost for the bus to Innsbruck train station and the train to St Anton is €18.80 per person. You can purchase combined travel tickets from the OBB website.

Because you first have to take a bus to Innsbruck train station to catch the train to St Anton, public transport is less convenient than taking a taxi. Transferring your luggage from bus to train can be tedious. The train announcements can also be confusing if you don’t speak German. However, if you’re on a budget and have minimal luggage, the train could be a good option for you. Trains to St Anton depart relatively frequently and your total travel time should be less than 2 hours.
