Aviemore is a town and tourist resort located within the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands of Scotland. The town is popular for outdoor activities such as skiing, climbing, hiking and canoeing, as well as for being an excellent base for exploring the historical landmarks and rich wildlife of Cairngorms National Park.
To get from Inverness Airport to Aviemore, you have three transfer options; bus, train or taxi. Taking an airport taxi or private transfer is the fastest and more convenient option, as you will get directly from Inverness Airport to Aviemore in approximately 40 minutes. The bus is a good budget option, as it costs as little as £14.30 (€17) for a one-way trip to Aviemore, however, you will have to switch buses at Inverness city centre as there is no direct route from the airport, and the total travel time is 80 minutes. Similarly, the train is another budget-friendly option as it costs as little as £12.40 (€14.50) but again there is no direct route from the airport and the travel time is approximately 90 minutes.
