If you’re an avid scuba diver or lover of all things marine life, Hurgada is the perfect vacation spot for you. This stunning resort town is located on the coast of the Red Sea and stretches an impressive 40km along the water’s edge. Aside from the numerous dive shops and schools in the modern Sekalla district, you will also find countless restaurants and vibrant nightlife in Old Town, and boutique stores and coffee shops in El Dahar.
When it comes to travelling from Marsa Alam Airport to Hurghada there are public transport options, but as they will take around 18 hours to reach Hurghada, with stops in Cairo, they aren’t really a reasonable way to travel. Instead, booking a private transfer or taking a local airport taxi upon landing is the best way to travel. The 231 km journey will take just 3 hours and the cost will be a very affordable €60 (EGP 1,980) – considering the distance!
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Marsa Alam at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
