Taxis at Pune Airport are parked just outside of the arrivals area. If you want to take a prepaid taxi, you’ll find the prepaid ticket counters inside, just before you exit the terminal.

How to get from Pune Airport to Pune Railway Station by bus

PMPML provides regular bus services throughout Pune, a few bus lines depart every 30 minutes or so from either  “Airport Corner/Kendriya Vidyalaya” (a 5-minute walk from the airport) or “Lohegaon Road” (a 15-minute walk) and stop either at or close to Pune Railway Station.

The journey from Pune Airport to Pune Railway Station takes around 30-40 minutes in total when factoring in the walk to the bus stops, but this doesn’t include possible waiting times.

Bus 151 departs from Lohegaon Road and stops at Pune Station and Bus 315 also departs from Lohegaon Road but stops at Alankar Talkies, which is a 5-minute walk from the station. Buses 24 and 158 both depart from Airport Corner/Kendriya Vidyalaya and stop at Alankar Talkies.

Where can I catch the bus from?

Airport Corner/Kendriya Vidyalaya bus stop is located a 5-minute walk from the airport. Just exit the terminal and the airport complex and walk down New Airport Road towards the Airport Chowk roundabout. Take the first exit to your left onto New Airport Road and you’ll see the “Airport Corner/Kendriya Vidyalaya” bus stop ahead.

Lohegaon Road 509 Area bus stop is 15 minutes away. You can follow the same directions to Airport Corner/Kendriya Vidyalaya bus stop and then from there, you need to continue walking up the road and turn left onto Airport Road. You’ll find the Lohegaon Road 509 Area bus stop in front of Arun Nursery.

Convenience

Taking the bus to Pune Train Station is a great budget choice. However, the buses are often late and local bus drivers have a reputation for unsafe driving. Furthermore, if you’re travelling with lots of luggage, there is no luggage storage on these buses. If you’d prefer some added security or are travelling as a group or with luggage, it may be better to hop in a taxi or pre-book a private transfer.
