Rabat Ville train station is Rabat’s main railway station, connecting the city to neighbouring destinations like Casablanca and more. It’s located only 17 km from the airport so if you plan to take a train without spending the night in the city, you can easily get from Rabat Airport to the train station by taking an airport taxi or the local bus.
The fastest transportation option is to take an airport taxi from the rank outside the airport or to pre-book an airport taxi and save even more time, with a driver waiting for you as soon as you land. The trip by taxi takes only 27 minutes in average traffic and you can expect to pay from €14 (MAD 150) to €18 (MAD 200) for up to 6 passengers. Keep in mind that local airport taxis are shared with a per-person charge, and your driver will wait until all empty seats are filled – unless you wish to pay for the entire vehicle.
The alternative is to take the local bus which directly connects Rabat Airport to Rabat Ville train station in about 40 minutes. Bus route AE is operated by Alsa City Bus and a single ticket costs €2.30 (MAD 25).
